Reflecting back a year ago now to my wedding day and thinking it may be cliche to say my wedding day was one of the best days of my life, but it was. The only way I know how to describe the whole day, the entire weekend is perfectly perfect. I could get all mushy and go on and on about every detail, however the saying a picture is worth a thousand words is entirely true. So I am going to keep this brief (ish). To be completely honest, I am not the girl who had ever really thought about the actual day of the wedding, the details, venue.... so when the time came to plan my wedding day I just went with what was organic to me. Intimate, simple, classic. I was also planning a wedding from across the country, so I needed simplicity during the planning process. We got married at a little oasis in the middle of New York City. The Park Restaurant brings the outdoors indoors with its brick lined floors, ivy covered walls and trees growing in the middle of the space. Ceilings resembling an Aviary, birds come flying in and out of the ceremony space. For the reception upstairs in their penthouse, which resembles a Japanese garden, My amazing florist Amy Merrick used over 1000 white lillies to line the family style tables. Votives and candlesticks of varying heights atop mirrored runners made the room feel like a wonderland. As I said I could go on and on... starting with the welcoming shabbat dinner for our out of town guests, to our pool side meet and greet of our families which had never met before to our actual wedding. Everything was pure magic. A few precious captured moments below....
